Most visitors to the islands of Vava’u agree that the best way to enjoy Vava’u is by sea.  This has traditionally meant a yacht charter or a day trip (unless of course you own your own yacht).  The Friendly Islands Kayak Company (FIKCO) offers a soft adventure alternative in the form of a kayaking exploration of the islands of both Vava’u and Ha’apai.

 

This is truly a unique experience and is available to all ages and abilities (but requires some level of fitness).  The owners, Doug and Sharon Spence, have honed this adventure over their last 16 successful seasons to provide a holiday opportunity that is as adventurous or relaxing as their guests desire.

Vava’u & Ha’apai

With no prior experience required, a kayaking holiday in the Kingdom of Tonga is a fresh and ideal holiday adventure that can be enjoyed in a group or as a family with kids too.  Whilst there is no age limit, FIKCO suggest that if you are bringing along the kids, that they are already comfortable around water.

 

FIKCO provide 5, 9 and 11 day tours for kayaking in Vava’u or a 12 day tour for kayaking in Ha’apai.
